For French pioneer healers, female genital mutilation is part of the ‘continuum of sexual violence’

The Réparons l’excision unit in Montreuil, near Paris, is an experimental project that takes a comprehensive and holistic approach to the issue of female genital mutilation. It is estimated that around 600,000 women and girls in Europe are currently living with the consequences of genital mutilation, and this is often only the first episode in a chain of violence.
