Doctors are integral to realising the UK's ambitious 10-year plan for the National Health Service (NHS) and improving the nation's health, but the past year has been marked by repeated strikes in England and escalating tension between the government and resident doctors over pay and workforce issues. With the upcoming workforce plan and medical training review, the government must finally address the issues doctors are facing.
